That is alot to be digesting in us as a human Being whom lives in a world of certain kinds of folk's whom either do understand those words from a dictionary and Thesaurus meanings of what's now displayed before us. But do people in the world really believe in God's directions in how to abtain it and do what's required of those things of God or just proclaim it by words and deeds of selfishness and pride in thinking they did it all by working for them in ones life, We've all heard different one's say these simliar words like " I've worked hard for everything and it all belongs to me! or I've went and worked hard in "Military Service" for all my stuff and people come and stolen things from me in what I've worked so very hard for it... Meaning Stuff they've acquired over any length of time over many years etc. Don't they act like small children whom don't want other's to play with there toy's or to share it with others that is around them. Question: "Whom made those people God? What happened to God whom happen to given things down through history in His word and this in one's own mind. Are these people selfish orientatedor or maybe ornate whom may be ornery enough to think that they did it themselves and have forgotton whom actually did it for those types of people living on this earth in whom God that hath made every single thing on the planet. Only they can deside for themselves in acknowledge all answers for self and most of God (Himself) is what needs to be done with this only. After all He's the judge not me by any means. But I, personally have been there myself! And getting God's corrections isn't easy to abtain but once I did it helped me to see "Self" as I really am and it made me cry for the sin in thinking that way in my own walk in God. Once I had recognized it by the Holy Ghost letting me now just what I had been doing I had to ask God forgive me and to help me in this in what I had done in recieving His reconciliation. It's like Abraham in the world knowing just how generious he is to everyone of us He helps us in knowing God management and ownership that it belongs to and it's not any of Us at all. After all every single thing we have all belong to God and He allows us to come to attain those things that is in our homes, and vehicles, tools to work on our cars, and out -door lawn care that pertain to live upon the earth simply because God's the blesser, blesses, blessing's, that in turns having been blessed by God in each one of our lives. After all if anyone in this life remain "selfish" won't attain anything at all when we have been full of pride that simply brings us down to nought. We are to be representives of Jesus Christ in all of our ways in turn to be such a blessing to others in and around our life. Prayer: Dear Father God; I want to thank You for what Your building in me right now. I want to be more like You in all areas of my life. Help me to aquire more of You and less of myself today. I am asking for a heart that needs a change and You are the one I know to help me to be like You, and alway's teach me the way to go in being in You alway's and forever amen. i_amgodschild
Names Of God
The great purpose of man, especially the believer in Christ, is to glorify God. “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Essential to our ability to glorify God is the knowledge of God and knowing Him personally in view of that knowledge.
The word “glory” in the Greek New Testament is doxa which means an opinion, an estimation, or reputation in which one is held. It refers to that which should accrue to God as praise, thanksgiving, obedience, reverence, and service because of who God is and what God does (past, present, and future). In other words, giving glory to God is tied in with the knowledge of God (revelation of God), and knowing God personally (response to God).
The Lord Jesus said in John 17:3, “And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent.” The many names in Scripture constitute additional revelation of God’s character, His works, and His relationship to us based on His character and works. The names which God chose for Himself and which are ascribed to Him in the Word of God are additional revelations of the who and what of God that we may know and relate to God.
Note David’s declarations about God’s name and word in Psalm 138:1-2. God’s name declares much about His person, but it is God’s Word that reveals God and His name.
We know what God is like, not only by His perfections and works, but also by His names. They tell us many things about God’s care and concern for his own. This is one of the fascinating studies of Scripture. The various circumstances which bring forth each of the names of God are important.1
The Significance of
the Names of God in Scripture
In our twentieth century Western culture, personal names are little more than labels to distinguish one person from another. Sometimes nicknames are chosen which tell something about a person, but even this is a poor reflection of the significance of names in the Bible.
Unfortunately, to many the names God or Lord convey little more than designations of a supreme being. It says little to them about God’s character, His ways, and what God means to each of us as human beings. But in Scripture, the names of God are like miniature portraits and promises. In Scripture, a person’s name identified them and stood for something specific. This is especially true of God. Naming carried special significance. It was a sign of authority and power. This is evident in the fact that God revealed His names to His people rather than allowing them to choose their names for Him. This is also seen in the fact that God often changed the names of His people: Abram to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, Jacob to Israel. Note also how this concept of authority and power is seen when Nebuchadnezzar changed the names of Daniel and his three friends.
The Name of God in General
There are a number of instances where no name of God is employed, but where simply the term “name” in reference to God is used as the point of focus:
(1) Abraham called on the name of the Lord (Gen. 12:8; 13:4).
(2) The Lord proclaimed His own name before Moses (Ex. 33:19; 34:5).
(3) Israel was warned against profaning the name of the Lord (Lev. 13:21; 22:2, 32).
(4) The name of the Lord was not to be taken in vain (Ex. 20:7; Deut. 5:11).
(5) The priests of Israel were to minister in the name of the Lord (Deut. 18:5; 21:5).
(6) The name of God is called “wonderful” in Judges 13:18.
(7) To call on the name of the Lord was to worship Him as God (Gen. 21:33; 26:25).
Consequently, from this we can conclude that such phrases as “the name of the LORD” or “the name of God” refer to God’s whole character. It was a summary statement embodying the entire person of God.2
When we turn to the New Testament we find the same. The name Jesus is used in a similar way to the name of God in the Old Testament:
(1) Salvation is through His name (John 1:12).
(2) Believers are to gather in His name (Matt. 18:20).
(3) Prayer is to be made in His name (John 14:13-14).
(4) The servant of the Lord who bears the name of Christ will be hated (Matt. 10:22).
(5) The book of Acts makes frequent mention of worship, service, and suffering in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:18; 5:28, 41; 10:43; 19:17).
(6) It is at the name of Jesus that every knee will one day bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Phil. 2:10-11).
So, just as the name of God in the Old Testament spoke of the holy character of God the Father, so the name of Jesus in the New Testament speaks of the holy character of God the Son.3
Overview of the
Names of God in Scripture
(1) Elohim: The plural form of EL, meaning “strong one.” It is used of false gods, but when used of the true God, it is a plural of majesty and intimates the trinity. It is especially used of God’s sovereignty, creative work, mighty work for Israel and in relation to His sovereignty (Isa. 54:5; Jer. 32:27; Gen. 1:1; Isa. 45:18; Deut. 5:23; 8:15; Ps. 68:7).
Compounds of El:
- El Shaddai: “God Almighty.” The derivation is uncertain. Some think it stresses God’s loving supply and comfort; others His power as the Almighty one standing on a mountain and who corrects and chastens (Gen. 17:1; 28:3; 35:11; Ex. 6:31; Ps. 91:1, 2).
- El Elyon: “The Most High God.” Stresses God’s strength, sovereignty, and supremacy (Gen. 14:19; Ps. 9:2; Dan. 7:18, 22, 25).
- El Olam: “The Everlasting God.” Emphasizes God’s unchangeableness and is connected with His inexhaustibleness (Gen. 16:13).
(2) Yahweh (YHWH): Comes from a verb which means “to exist, be.” This, plus its usage, shows that this name stresses God as the independent and self-existent God of revelation and redemption (Gen. 4:3; Ex. 6:3 (cf. 3:14); 3:12).
Compounds of Yahweh: Strictly speaking, these compounds are designations or titles which reveal additional facts about God’s character.
- Yahweh Jireh (Yireh): “The Lord will provide.” Stresses God’s provision for His people (Gen. 22:14).
- Yahweh Nissi: “The Lord is my Banner.” Stresses that God is our rallying point and our means of victory; the one who fights for His people (Ex. 17:15).
- Yahweh Shalom: “The Lord is Peace.” Points to the Lord as the means of our peace and rest (Jud. 6:24).
- Yahweh Sabbaoth: “The Lord of Hosts.” A military figure portraying the Lord as the commander of the armies of heaven (1 Sam. 1:3; 17:45).
- Yahweh Maccaddeshcem: “The Lord your Sanctifier.” Portrays the Lord as our means of sanctification or as the one who sets believers apart for His purposes (Ex. 31:13).
- Yahweh Ro’i: “The Lord my Shepherd.” Portrays the Lord as the Shepherd who cares for His people as a shepherd cares for the sheep of his pasture (Ps. 23:1).
- Yahweh Tsidkenu: “The Lord our Righteousness.” Portrays the Lord as the means of our righteousness (Jer. 23:6).
- Yahweh Shammah: “The Lord is there.” Portrays the Lord’s personal presence in the millennial kingdom (Ezek. 48:35).
- Yahweh Elohim Israel: “The Lord, the God of Israel.” Identifies Yahweh as the God of Israel in contrast to the false gods of the nations (Jud. 5:3.; Isa. 17:6).
(3) Adonai: Like Elohim, this too is a plural of majesty. The singular form means “master, owner.” Stresses man’s relationship to God as his master, authority, and provider (Gen. 18:2; 40:1; 1 Sam. 1:15; Ex. 21:1-6; Josh. 5:14).
(4) Theos: Greek word translated “God.” Primary name for God used in the New Testament. Its use teaches: (1) He is the only true God (Matt. 23:9; Rom. 3:30); (2) He is unique (1 Tim. 1:17; John 17:3; Rev. 15:4; 16:27); (3) He is transcendent (Acts 17:24; Heb. 3:4; Rev. 10:6); (4) He is the Savior (John 3:16; 1 Tim. 1:1; 2:3; 4:10). This name is used of Christ as God in John 1:1, 18; 20:28; 1 John 5:20; Tit. 2:13; Rom. 9:5; Heb. 1:8; 2 Pet. 1:1.
(5) Kurios: Greek word translated “Lord.” Stresses authority and supremacy. While it can mean sir (John 4:11), owner (Luke 19:33), master (Col. 3:22), or even refer to idols (1 Cor. 8:5) or husbands (1 Pet. 3:6), it is used mostly as the equivalent of Yahweh of the Old Testament. It too is used of Jesus Christ meaning (1) Rabbi or Sir (Matt. 8:6); (2) God or Deity (John 20:28; Acts 2:36; Rom. 10:9; Phil. 2:11).
(6) Despotes: Greek word translated “Master.” Carries the idea of ownership while kurios stressed supreme authority (Luke 2:29; Acts 4:24; Rev. 6:10; 2 Pet. 2:1; Jude 4).
(7) Father: A distinctive New Testament revelation is that through faith in Christ, God becomes our personal Father. Father is used of God in the Old Testament only 15 times while it is used of God 245 times in the New Testament. As a name of God, it stresses God’s loving care, provision, discipline, and the way we are to address God in prayer (Matt. 7:11; Jam. 1:17; Heb. 12:5-11; John 15:16; 16:23; Eph. 2:18; 3:15; 1 Thess. 3:11).

HOUSE BEHIND THE WEEDS
What It Means To Love Isreal
At the end of July, 34 evangelical leaders published a letter to President Bush, commending his attempts to "reinvigorate … Israeli-Palestinian negotiations" and affirming his "clear call for a two-state solution." These leaders represented a wide swath of American evangelicalism, hailing from such institutions as the Christian & Missionary Alliance, World Relief, World Vision, the Vineyard USA, the Evangelical Covenant Church, Fuller Theological Seminary, Bethel University, and this magazine. They also told the Administration that it is "a serious misperception" that American evangelicals are uniformly opposed to a two-state solution and the creation of a new Palestinian state out of the vast majority of the West Bank.
Just as significant, though, was the leaders' affirmation of love for Israel. "As evangelical Christians," they wrote, "we embrace the biblical promise to Abraham: 'I will bless those who bless you.'" American and British Christians have long hoped and worked for the restoration of the Jewish people to their historic homeland. From Puritan confidence in the latter-day conversion of the Jews as a people emerged a belief in the Jews' return to their homeland. Puritans plowed the soil in which Christian Zionism grew.
At its root, the term Zionism simply means support for a Jewish return to sovereignty in their ancient homeland, with a majority Jewish culture. At the beginning of the 19th century, two streams of Christian Zionism emerged. One, associated with politicians William Wilberforce and Lord Shaftesbury and high-profile preachers Charles Simeon and Charles Spurgeon, was Reformed and covenantal in its theology. It strongly influenced British policy. The other was developed by Edward Irving and J. N. Darby and would later bear the label "dispensationalist." It shaped American support for the restoration of the Jews.
It is important to remember both groups. Mainline Protestant partisans of Palestinian "liberation" frequently dismiss Christian support for Israel because of its association with dispensationalism. Yet dispensationalists make up only 10 percent of America's 52 million white adult evangelicals, and there is now and long has been broader evangelical support for a secure homeland for the Jewish people in the Middle East.
The key complaint offered against dispensationalists is that they talk as though God had separate plans for saving Israel and the church. And contemporary Reformed Christians are accused of having a "replacement theology" in which the church takes the place of Israel, inheriting all of God's promises with no remainder for the Jewish people. The one view tends to find no fault with Israeli government decisions as long as they do not compromise dispensational theology. The other view tends to consider the continued existence of the Jewish people a historical anomaly with little theological significance.
A place in God's economyBut we cannot read the New Testament without seeing that the Jews continue to have a place in God's economy. Gentile Christians do not replace the Jews, but are joint heirs and wild branches grafted onto the Jewish olive tree. God's ultimate purpose in saving Gentile Christians is to save the Jews (Rom. 11).
The evangelical mainstream needs to do some rigorous theological work on its relationship to Judaism, to the Jewish people, and to the state of Israel. The concerns we must address include:
The need to learn how Judaism and the Jewish people understand themselves.
What it means to bless Israel and to love it. True love is sometimes tough love that builds on God's unconditional love. Genesis 12:3 is often misused as a warm affirmation of anything done for the expansion of Israel's influence or borders. But genuine love asks not only about the extent of Israel's land, but also about its national character.
The fundamentally Jewish character of God's revelation in Jesus. Christianity has been immensely adaptable to a world of cultures. But without an awareness of Christianity's Jewish roots, believers will misunderstand its fundamental themes of creation, redemption, sacrifice, and restoration.
What justice means for a Jewish state and its neighbors. While the most vocal Christian Zionists call for Israel to possess all of the Davidic "Greater Israel," such goals come at too high a price. A majority of Israelis realize this and have voted for political parties committed to disengagement. As one Israeli blogger wrote in response to the July letter: "I, too, believe in Greater Israel, but I cannot have my dream if it means occupying millions of Palestinians."
In a post-Holocaust world, the security needs of Israel must be honored. At the same time, restorative justice must set aside absolute claims from any parties and find a workable middle ground in which Palestinians can have a viable economic life and Israelis can be secure.
What kind of theological and ethical significance evangelicals can give the state of Israel before the return of Messiah Jesus. Orthodox Jews distinguish between the return to Israel (which has religious meaning) and the government and state (which do not)—at least until Messiah comes. Evangelicals should beware of attributing too much theological meaning to the state of Israel and not enough to the Jewish people.
Optimism for a negotiated solution to Israeli-Palestinian tensions fluctuates with the news. But Christians must hope in God's covenant faithfulness. Meanwhile, we should keep reminding those involved in direct negotiations that we long for a solution that provides a secure Jewish homeland and self-determination and prosperity for Palestinians. In God's eyes, the peace of Jerusalem is to bless all peoples.

Salvation Is Very Heart Felt Inside Of You No One can DO It 4 U !
~ A Choice to Believe God ~
It was beyond thrilling once I realized the Bible was a How-to Book; a list of Master's tools for overcoming whatever we face in the world.
I would see all kinds of wonderful instruction and promises, then look around and not see such faith in others. It is as if people believe Jesus died on the cross and, then, lied about all the rest.
"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." I Corinthians 15:19 And as a man "thinketh in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7 Therefore, it is of utmost importance to grow toward protecting ourselves from all that isn't true because, if it is not truth, it is a lie (1 John 2:21).
Only two options are available for which to place our faith: (1.) to believe God, or (2.) to call Him a liar, (1.) to give glory to God by recognizing Him for who He is and who He said He would be, for and through us, or (2.) to bow to evil by focusing on all that is wrong with us and the world.
Of course, one could choose to place themselves on God's throne; thinking they have no need of Him. Our choice determines to whom we give power; to which presence we will dwell in. And, we know which one promotes pride and accuses the brethren.
So, the next time a negative thought comes our way, before we open our mouth, perhaps we should stop to think. Just who are we representing, anyway?
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Our adversary is like a roaring lion, all he does is roar. We either give him power to devour us, or we choose to believe God. It is impossible to fall or fail following the instruction God speaks to us, as God cannot be defeated. Being that nothing is too hard for Him, rejoice even before God brings it to pass (Romans 4:17).
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Only God knows how to defeat evil and where it will be lurking next (Proverbs 14:12). So, it is most advisable to get one's instruction and faith from the words God speaks to your heart (Job 23:12).
Be careful for nothing ...
"But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost." Mark 13:11
but in every thing by prayer ...
Pray in the Holy Ghost by laying your hands on the word of God, comparing scripture with scripture; rightly dividing the words of truth ... because they are spiritually discerned (I Corinthians 2:14).
and supplication ...
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Matthew 7:7
with thanksgiving ...
"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving." Psalms 100:4a
let your requests be made known unto God.
"Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever
things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there
be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye
have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me,
do: and the God of peace shall be with you."
Philippians 4:8-9
Engrafting Scripture
"How To"
1.) Graff in the Word.
Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save YOUR souls.
Whoso looketh into the "perfect law" of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
(The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is "no law". Galatians 5:22-23 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. Hebrews 7:19)Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:19-21, 25, 27 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. Romans 11:16
2.) Graff in Yourself.
The branches were broken off, that YOU might be graffed in. Romans 11:19b
YOU are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; WE are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 9:4-5
Give thanks unto the Father, which hath made US meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered US from the power of darkness, and hath translated US into the kingdom of his dear Son. Colossians 1:12-13
The Engrafted Word, is able to save YOUR souls.
Thus, it will always be a salvation message.
and we will be saved. - source unknown |
Select a search word, then surrounding verses which

matter. Then, read your total selection of verses
to see if it yet makes sense and reads smoothly,

So, add YOUR name.
For personal study, your name goes
wherever God speaks to your heart.
For teaching purposes, apply the verses to yourself
also; whenever you see the name "Israel".
You can even credit yourself, like replacing Paul's name
with your name, for having made the verse selections.
Every man praying or prophesying,
having his head covered dishonoureth his head,
forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God.

Welcome Home To I_amgodschildcc Place
14 Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus.
15 This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. 16 But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.
