(A brief summary)

This message may be called a road sign of warning. Some may look at a sign that reads—THE BRIDGE IS OUT, and say, "Oh, someone is just trying to scare us into taking another road; let's go on the same way." They go on and plunge to their death. The sign was not meant to scare people, but to warn them of impending danger. The sign was put there, because someone cared and didn't want others to perish.
God wants you to know, WHEN YOU SEE THESE THINGS COME TO PASS (the prophecies from the Bible in this message), KNOW YE THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NIGH AT HAND-Lk 21:31.

Will 1/4th of the world's population die? Yes.

Will there be a one-world system or global economy? Yes.

Will diseases increase such as AIDS? Yes.

WHAT IS GOING ON?

People have said the end was near many times in the past—true. But did you know the Bible shows us no prophecy of the latter days meant anything until Israel was reborn into a nation? Did you know God's Word indicates to us a generation would not pass from Israel's rebirth, till all be fulfilled (which includes the Rapture, the Tribulation, and Jesus Christ's return)? A generation could be as little as 40 years or as much as 70 to 80 years (Note Parable of the Fig Tree in site menu).

Many people have been preaching about the latter days of the end times in churches, on radio, TV, and through books and magazines. Some include Billy Graham, Hal Lindsey, Ray Brubaker, John Hagee, Zola Levitt, Jack Van Impe, Peter Lalonde, and Tim LaHaye just to mention a few. To those that understand the Bible, no explanation is needed. To those that are prideful, self-centered, that love this world, that despise God's correction, that are contentious or seeking the praise of men rather than of God, no explanation is possible-ref Dan 12:4, 10; Mt 24:37, 39.

It has been said that it is virtually impossible for anyone to make 11 straight predictions, 2000 years into the future. There is only one chance in 8 x 10 to the 63rd power, or 80 with 63 zeros after it that such a thing could be done. If such a set of predictions existed, it would have to be the Word of God.

Consider, could you write eleven straight predictions that would take place in the year 4000 A.D.? Include the rebirth of a specific nation and exactly how it would be reborn. Include specific nations that would exist and certain nations that would be allied together, and the exact size of a nation's army. Include what the people and church would be like. Also include the names of actual cities and name certain crops and fruit trees that would exist. Do eleven straight prophecies and be exactly correct on every single one. The Bible not only does this eleven times, but hundreds of times with absolute, perfect accuracy. If this is so, even the most skeptical person (that is truthful) would have to agree that there is indeed a God and the Bible has to be His Word. 2 Pet 1:20,21-KNOWING THIS FIRST, THAT NO PROPHECY OF THE SCRIPTURE IS OF ANY PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. FOR THE PROPHECY CAME NOT IN OLD TIME BY THE WILL OF MAN: BUT HOLY MEN OF GOD SPAKE AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE
HOLY GHOST. O FOOLS, AND SLOW OF HEART TO BELIEVE ALL THAT THE PROPHETS HAVE SPOKEN-Lk 24:25. However, believing there is a God and acknowledging the Bible is the Word of God does not save a person. A person needs to admit they are a sinner, repent, and receive Jesus Christ as their only hope of being saved. This is done by faith (or trust).

Let's prove the Bible is true and we are nearing the end of the last generation before Christ returns.

1. The Jewish people would be scattered worldwide; yet Israel would become a nation again after a long time and at a time the Bible calls the "latter days"-ref Isa 66:8; Mic 5:3; Ezek 38:8. Against what appeared to be impossible odds, this prophecy has been fulfilled. It happened as predicted on May 14, 1948 after about 2500 years. That's 1 out of 1.
Note: Israel was destroyed in approximately 721 B.C. and Judah about 135 years later. Since that time, approximately fourteen different peoples have possessed the land of Israel. Yet as the Bible said, the nation of Israel would be reborn.
The rebirth of Israel was a key sign, indicating we had entered a time period called the "latter days." It was the beginning of a countdown leading to the Tribulation and culminating with the Battle of Armageddon and the return of Jesus. Along with the fulfillment of this crucial event are over 360 prophecies that would all come together, so we might recognize that the Tribulation is very close at hand. Some of these are listed here.
Yet the Bible foretells that most people would not believe these things, despite the overwhelming evidence of the signs from God's Word being fulfilled exactly as predicted. As people refused to believe the flood was coming in Noah's time, so people today willingly choose to disregard the signs of the times.

2. Israel shall be brought forth in one day, at once-ref Isa 66:8. Prophecy fulfilled-May 14, 1948. That's 2 out of 2.
Note: On Nov. 29, 1947, the General Assembly of the U.N. approved a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine. On the morning of May 14, 1948 (the last day of the British mandate), a meeting of the People's Council took place in Israel to decide on the name of the state and to finalize the declaration. At precisely 4 pm, the proclamation ceremony began at the Tel Aviv museum. The 979 Hebrew words of the Scroll of Independence were read. All stood, and the scroll was adopted. The notorious White Paper, issued by the British in 1930 restricting Jewish immigration, was declared null and void. Members of the People's Council signed the proclamation. David Ben-Gurion rapped his gavel, declaring, "The State of Israel is established. This meeting is ended." Israel was brought forth as a nation in one day, at once, exactly as predicted. At midnight, the British soldiers and high commissioner would leave. President Truman was swift in announcing U.S.
recognition of Israel. The following morning, on May 15, Israel was under attack by the Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese, Jordanian, and Iraqi forces.

3. Israel would be brought forth (or reborn) "out of the nations"-Ezek 38:8. Prophecy fulfilled-May 14, 1948. That's 3 out of 3.
Note: As previously stated, on Nov. 29, 1947, the General Assembly of the "United Nations" approved a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine. This prophecy was perfectly fulfilled. Consider, for centuries the land of Israel had been occupied by many nations. Israel was "brought forth out of the nations"—the children of Israel from many nations have been returning to their ancient homeland.

4. Israel must regain the city of Jerusalem-Joel 2:32; Isa 28:14; Ezek 22:19. This happened just as predicted in 1967. That's 4 out of 4.
Note: The Bible gives us two methods so we would know the time we are in. One is by Israel's rebirth. The other, by a precise line of events that would all come together at one time. Israel was reborn on May 14th, 1948. The Bible indicates that from Israel's rebirth a generation would not pass till all be fulfilled. We are not setting any date; however, it seems clear from Israel's rebirth and the signs of the times— that we are living in the generation in which the Rapture and Tribulation will come and catch most people by surprise. Are you ready?

5. The Christian church at the time of the end would be lukewarm, neither cold nor hot for Jesus. Prophecy fulfilled. That's 5 out of 5.
Note: God will spew them out. Many ministers and people that call themselves a Christian will not be going to heaven. The Bible tells us—you have acquired wealth, but your true condition is wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked and you don't know it-Rev 3:14-22. This is today's church. Most preachers use little Scripture, but lots of worldly stories. Many sing a great deal, but put little emphasis on repentance, obeying, serving, and fearing God, on the fruits of the Spirit, Bible prophecy, water baptism by immersion, and studying your Bible faithfully every day. Many are only entertainment centers that teach what their members want to hear. Many (so-called Christians) are so lukewarm or dead, they don't even bring their Bibles with them to the house of God. Some famous ministers and Bible schools think this is the best church age ever, yet the Bible clearly shows it is the worst and most deceived.

The Bible gives us over 50 descriptions about the people at the time of the end. These fit the
people of today perfectly, but did not fit the people of fifty years ago. Here are some:

A.

Some would depart from the faith and go into devil worship-1 Tim 4:1. This is perfect.

B. People would mock about the last days and not believe-2 Pe 3:3; Jude 18.
C.

People would become lovers of themselves-2 Tim 3:1,2. Remember the TV commercials—" I do it for me"?

D. People would be disobeying their parents-2 Tim 3:1,2.

E. People would be grateful for nothing-2 Tim 3:1,2.
F. Homosexuality would increase-Lk 17:28,30; ref Gen 19:5; Ro 1:24,26,27.
G.

People would be without self-control in sex-2 Tim 3:1,2,6; Rev 9:21, Lk 17:28,30; Jude 7. Is this not the great sex generation?

H.

People would love pleasures more than God-2 Tim 3:1,2,4. This is true. Shall we go on a picnic, watch football, or sleep. Church?—we can go another time. Our American motto "In God we trust" has become a joke. Remember, these were all predicted centuries ago as part of the signs that we are at the time of the end.

I.

People would be taking drugs-Rev 9:21. The Greek word for sorceries, in Rev 9:21, means pharmaceuticals or drugs. God's Word is 100% right on every one. That's 6 out of 6. How could you have any doubts at this point?
Note: Fifty years ago, many people seldom locked their doors at night. There was little or no profanity on television, radio, or in the movies. One of the biggest problems in public school was gum chewing. Those days are long gone.

7. There would be weapons that could destroy the world-Mk 13:20; Rev 6:8; Rev 9:18; Zech 14:8,12. Incredibly, this prophecy was written in the days of spears and arrows, yet today it is true. That's 7 out of 7.
Note: It is estimated that the combined nuclear arsenals of the USA and Russia (as of the year 2004) could kill every living thing on earth 6 times over.

8. The Gospel must be published in all the world-Mk 13:10. This seemingly impossible prophecy was written when there was no printing press, but today it is true. That's 8 out of 8.
Note: In this last generation, to our knowledge, the Gospel is being published (or is about to be published) in the primary language of every nation of the world or "among all nations." In addition, the Gospel is available by short-wave radio nearly everywhere in the world.

9. In the "latter days" when Israel was once again a nation, there would be a great military power to the extreme north of Israel in the land of Magog (which is modern-day Russia)-Ezek 38:2-4,8,15, 16. Incredible. That's 9 out of 9.
Note: How could the Bible have foretold the location of this nation, facts about its military, and even the time period it would come to pass? As was already said in Lk 24:25-O FOOLS, AND SLOW OF HEART TO BELIEVE ALL THAT THE PROPHETS HAVE SPOKEN.

10. There would be a nation to the far east of Israel, to the end of the earth. This nation would have an army of 200 million. This is astounding. How could the Bible have told the location of a nation and given such a huge figure regarding the size of its army nearly 2000 years ago? China has boasted that they could field an army of this exact figure. That's 10 out of 10.

11. There would be an economic alliance of the nations of the Old Roman Empire. It would have a military capability. This is an exact description of the European Economic Community today (the EEC), which has already adopted the one-currency system for many of their member nations. It is written, IN THE DAYS OF THESE KINGS (these nations, which is now) SHALL THE GOD OF HEAVEN SET UP A KINGDOM-Dan 2:44. That's 11 out of 11. We have just reached the point that seemed impossible—11 perfect predictions made thousands of years ago—with God nothing is impossible. Certainly, at this point, even the biggest skeptic should see the Bible is true, there is a God, and we are nearing the time of the end.

About 22 prophecies in 11 sets have been given, all perfect and all written centuries ago. The chance that any person could do this 2000 years into the future is not possible. The Bible is the Word of God, and we have just proved it. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Repent and get baptized by full immersion. Read and obey the Gospel. God loves you. He is not willing that any should perish, yet many do. The Rapture is close. Most people are not ready and will not be taken. However, "YOU" cannot say you did not know. Know and understand, Mt 16:26-WHAT IS A MAN PROFITED, IF HE SHALL GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL? OR WHAT SHALL A MAN GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS SOUL? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? THE RAPTURE AND TRIBULATION

RAPTURE (the Biblical term is "caught up" or "translation" ) is a term used to describe the removal from the earth of all living people that have been born-again as evidenced by their fruits. Just prior to the Tribulation coming about, the Rapture will take place. The number that will be raptured will be far fewer than most people might think. The Bible unmistakably portrays the raptured saints in heaven before the throne of God, prior to the Antichrist coming forth and the Tribulation beginning. The Scripture tells us, in the twinkling of an eye, we shall be changed and be with Jesus in the air. 1 Cor 15:51,52-WE SHALL NOT ALL SLEEP, BUT WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED, IN A MOMENT IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, AT THE LAST TRUMP: FOR THE TRUMPET SHALL SOUND; 1 Thes 4:16,17-AND THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FIRST, THEN WE WHICH ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS. We may be asleep, immediately we will be with Jesus. All the unbelievers, the
lukewarm Christians, and those that did not obey the Gospel will be left to face the dreadful Tribulation. (For an in-depth study of the Rapture, click here.)

THE TRIBULATION is the worst time in history since man has been on the earth. Immediately following the Rapture, the man of sin (called the Antichrist) comes forth and assumes control of the EEC. He can be expected to be very charismatic and brilliant. He confirms a treaty with Israel and others, which begins the Tribulation.

It is a 7 year period, but the Lord may have shortened the first 3 1/2 years in some way-ref Mk 13:20; Ro 9:28. We are not setting a date; however, we are now living in that generation in which this will happen. Hate, murder, thefts, rape, and every imaginable form of evil will abound. During this horrible period of God's wrath, Russia, Iran, and other nations will come against Israel. The USA becomes involved. One-fourth of the world's population will die. Many of the dead will be from the USA, as well as Russia. One-third of trees are burned up. All green grass is burned up. One-third of the sea will become blood. One-third of the creatures in the sea will die. One-third of the ships are destroyed. One-third of the waters become wormwood (or poisoned, or radioactive) . Massive famines, increased earthquakes, and more diseases will happen as birth pangs of a woman. Those left alive will have opportunities to receive Jesus through the preaching of 144,000 male, virgin Jews;
however, death by decapitation lies ahead for most that put their trust in Jesus, unless they renounce their faith. There will also be many false Christs and false prophets. A one-world, false religion that God calls MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH will increase. This religion has existed for hundreds of years and exists today. The nations of the world have become intoxicated with her false teachings. The temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt.

About 3½ years from the end of the Tribulation, the Antichrist (also called the beast) is killed with a wound in the head by a weapon, but his deadly wound will be healed. He will come back to life. He then declares himself to be God and moves into the temple in Jerusalem. A false prophet appears that will do great wonders. The sacrifices at the temple will be stopped. The abomination of desolation occurs. An image of the Antichrist will be set on a wing of the temple. Those that refuse to worship it will be beheaded. The elect born-again Jews now flee for their lives to a place where God will hide them and take care of them during the last three and a half years. Power is given to the Antichrist over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. All that dwell on the earth shall worship the Antichrist, whose names are not written in the Lamb's book of life. During these last three and a half years (called the Great Tribulation) , world conditions will continue to worsen. A
one-world system will exist. The Antichrist shall make war against the saints and will overcome them. People will be required to take the mark of the Antichrist or the number of his name (666) in or on their forehead or right hand. If they, refuse they cannot buy or sell.

Two prophets of God will appear. One of them is Elijah. Their ministry lasts 1260 days. They warn people not to take the mark or worship the image. There is no forgiveness from God afterward for those that do. They will go to the eternal lake of fire. These two witnesses have the power to shut up heaven so that it does not rain. They have the power to bring all kinds of plagues on the earth. Multitudes will be slain for the Word of God. Some type of locusts will sting men with a sting like a scorpion. It will be so bad that men will seek death and shall not find it. There will be terrible sores upon men. The rivers and fountains will become blood. Men will be scorched with great heat. Earthquakes and diseases continue to get worse and worse. Two hundred million troops will march to Israel from the east and cross the dried up Euphrates River. One-third more of the earth's population will be killed. After the 1260 days, the two prophets of God will be killed. People will
rejoice, but then after three and a half days, they will arise and ascend up to heaven as others watch. Great fear falls on those that see this. Men will be so terrified that their hearts will fail, as they consider what is about to happen. Multitudes will hide in the rocks and say, "FALL ON US AND HIDE US FROM...HIM (Jesus)…FOR THE GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH IS COME; AND WHO SHALL BE ABLE TO STAND?"-Rev 6:16,17.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days, the Battle of Armageddon explodes. It lasts one day. The kings and armies of the earth are gathered to make war against Jesus. Jesus Christ returns as the King of kings and Lord of lords with all His saints. If He had not returned exactly when He did, there should be no life left on earth. The Antichrist and false prophet are cast alive into the lake of fire. Satan is chained for one thousand years, so he can deceive the nations no longer till the thousand years be fulfilled. Every force of nature is likely to be unleashed at once, including killer tornadoes, hurricanes, tidal waves, lightning encircling the earth, and the biggest earthquake in mankind's history. The cities and the mountains of the world will crumble. The Bible tells that every island fled away. The mountains were not found. There is great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of 70 to l00 pounds. The earth will move out of its place. At the end of
that one day, there are so few people left alive that a child could list them.

This may all sound like a fairy tale, but remember—from Israel's rebirth to the Tribulation, there are about 365 prophecies. Incredibly, nearly all have now been fulfilled. In addition, there are over 10,000 prophecies in the Bible and every one up to this time has come true without a single exception. THE FOOL HAS SAID IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD-Ps 14:1.

ARE YOU READY TO MEET JESUS?

We have proven that the Bible is God's Word. Now you are faced with a decision. Will you ignore what you have learned, or will you surrender your life to Jesus? If you had a sudden heart attack or the Rapture came in the next five minutes, are you sure you are ready to meet God? You may say, "I believe I'm a good person. I sing in the choir. I attend church and give offerings." The Bible says all of your righteous deeds ARE AS FILTHY RAGS. You may be religious and go to church, but if you died right now—you would perish to hell. Why? Because you have not been born-again. You may say, "Well my church never preaches like this." Will you trust your religion or what the Bible says? If you choose not to accept God's way to enter heaven, then you are choosing eternal separation from God.

YOU MAY ASK, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? FOUR THINGS.

1. You must admit that you are a sinner. The Bible tells us, ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH.
2. Be willing to change, to forsake all sin, to humble yourself and live for Jesus. Repent. Be willing to ask God for His help to make that change. The Bible tells us, EXCEPT YE REPENT, YE SHALL ALL LIKEWISE PERISH. WHOSOEVER THEREFORE WILL BE A FRIEND OF THE WORLD IS THE ENEMY OF GOD. Jesus tells us, HE THAT IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME.
3. Believe in your heart Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, God Who came to this earth in human form. Believe He died for your sins. It is written, THERE IS NONE OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED. If you are caught robbing a bank, you have to go to jail. Jesus never sinned. When He died on the cross, He did not die for the things He did. He died to pay your jail sentence.
4. Ask for forgiveness. Ask for God's mercy. By faith receive Jesus Christ as your only hope of salvation. Afterwards, be willing to get baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Nicodemus was considered a very religious man in the Bible; however, in Jn 3:3, Jesus shows him it is not enough. You MUST BE BORN AGAIN.

I am going to ask you to make that decision for Jesus right now. You need to humble yourself, repent and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Please kneel right where you are. Can you sense God calling you right now? Is your heart pounding? You may have been baptized or confirmed, but something inside you is saying, "Be sure." Perhaps you have strayed from God and need to rededicate your life to Jesus now. Would you rather go to be with God or the lake of fire? You have that choice right now. God wants you to receive the gift of eternal life. Are you sure there is not a sin, there is nothing that stands between you and God? But you may know there is. The Bible tells us THERE IS A WAY WHICH SEEMETH RIGHT UNTO A MAN, BUT THE END THEREOF ARE THE WAYS OF DEATH. Jesus wants you to KNOW HIM, to have a personal relationship with Him. It's not a matter of whether you think you know Jesus, but does Jesus know you?

Right now, kneel and pray this prayer out loud, and mean it with all your heart.

I ASK YOU TO HAVE MERCY ON ME, A SINNER, AND COME INTO MY LIFE. GIVE ME YOUR SPIRIT AND YOUR POWER. HELP ME TO FOLLOW AND OBEY YOUR COMMANDMENTS, AND TO LIVE FOR YOU. JESUS, I GIVE YOU MY LIFE. THANK YOU FOR HEARING MY PRAYER. THANK YOU FOR COMING INTO MY LIFE. I ASK IT IN THE NAME OF MY LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.

We recommend you now read your Bible every day faithfully—5 or more chapters a day. Begin with the Gospel of John and read it through three times. Next go to Matthew and read the New Testament through three times. Then begin reading the entire Bible in order, beginning with Genesis. As God opens up His Word to you, obey it. Be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only, deceiving yourself-ref Ja 1:22. As you are faithful, God will open your understanding of His Word more and more.
Find a good Bible-teaching church that teaches God's Word, sound doctrine, Bible prophecy, the Revelation, not just stories about worldly things. They should also love and support Israel and the Jewish people. Attend often and get baptized. Tell others that Jesus is your only hope of salvation. FINAL NOTE ON SALVATION

"After" we believe on Jesus Christ, "after" we have repented of our sins, we are commanded to be baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is written, HE THAT BELIEVETH AND IS BAPTIZED SHALL BE SAVED; BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT SHALL BE DAMNED-Mk 16:16. Note, believing on Jesus comes "before" water baptism. Infant baptism or any baptism prior to repenting and believing on Jesus has no meaning. You cannot be baptized into One on Whom you do not believe. It is written, FOR AS MANY OF YOU AS HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST HAVE PUT ON CHRIST-Gal 3:27. Water baptism is by full immersion. As it is written, BURIED WITH HIM (with Jesus) IN BAPTISM (or buried in the water)-Col 2:12, ref Ro 6:4. Jesus commanded, GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST: TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU: AND, LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS,
EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD. AMEN-Mt 28:19,20.
Surrender means "you give up." You stop putting your will before God's will. You allow Jesus (God's Word) to reign over you. You submit to Jesus and let Him become the Lord of your life.
If you have not yet humbled yourself, and totally surrendered to Jesus, and become as a little child (ref Mt 18:3), and continued steadfast in the faith, I would suggest that NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME; BEHOLD, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION-2 Cor 6:2. Please submit to God, say the prayer, and mean it with all of your heart. God loves YOU and cares.

Not By Might Nor By Power

If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” Matthew 6:22-23 In this issue of the Last Trumpet Newsletter, we will examine a condition that now exists in the United States and much of the world. It is a condition that allows Satan and his forces of darkness to perpetuate the works and schemes of the antichrist with full cooperation from nearly everyone on earth. Many discerning Christians have asked me how Satan could get so many people to follow him both knowingly and unknowingly. The answer to that question is both simple and profound. Satan, the prince of darkness, has manifested a false light! People who have not found the true light of the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ are walking in another kind of light. It is really just another form of darkness that is perceived by the deceived as enlightenment; which involves religions, noble causes, and good works. Our Saviour commented on this deceptive light by saying, “How great is that darkness!” How do we persuade people to seek the true light of God if they think they already have it? We know that the antichrist will not be perceived as the antichrist by the people of this world. Only the true remnant Christians, who know their Bibles, will understand the truth of the matter because it is revealed to them. In the realm of that false dark light, true Christians will be perceived as uncooperative, stubborn, and even insane, because they will not conform to the dictates of the new global leadership. We must always remember that the early Christians were persecuted and martyred not because of what they were doing, but because of what they refused to do and go along with. As true Christians, there are things that we must never do even though they are universally accepted by the rest of the world. The powers of darkness are closing in fast, and that approaching shroud is in the form of a shadowy light from the one who was once called Lucifer, the bringer of light. His human conspirators refer to themselves as the Illuminati, which means holders of the light. The good news is that you as an individual do not have to be deceived by the deceptive web and net that is now captivating the world. If you will give your heart completely to the Lord Jesus Christ, He will keep you from the hour of temptation and evil. In Revelation 3:10-11 we read as follows: “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Society’s Insatiable Appetite for Evil! One of the sure signs that we are living in the last generation is the insatiable appetite of society for evil. Our ancestors of even one generation ago would not believe what is now happening! On October 26th, 2007, the Associated Press carried the story of the forthcoming Voodoo Fest weekend in New Orleans during the weekend prior to Halloween. Voodoo Fest was the first festival to be held in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina devastated that city in 2005. In 2006, the Voodoo Fest attracted ninety thousand people there along the Mississippi River. (1) Another great abomination is scheduled for December 7th, 2007, which is the seventy-sixth anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor by the empire of Japan. The great abomination scheduled for that day is the release of a new movie entitled The Golden Compass. The movie is based on a book by British author Philip Pullman entitled Northern Lights. It is to be released as a children’s movie, complete with religious allegories, talking animals, and a witchcraft device called an alethiometer, which uses divination to find truth. Every character in the movie is demon possessed and has a voice that guides him. The Golden Compass has similar themes as the Chronicles of Narnia and even begins with a girl hiding in a wardrobe. The book that the movie is taken from is actually part of a series in which a young girl struggles with God, who is presented as senile. Another character is an ex-nun, who describes Christianity as a powerful and convincing mistake. In the final book of the series, characters representing Adam and Eve witness the death of God! (2) Without a doubt, the United States is being taken over by occult forces, and very few seem to be aware of it. It is that subtle dark light being introduced to a society that is oblivious to the truth. On October 18th, 2007, the Dalai Lama, a Buddhist “holy man”, was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal by President George W. Bush. President Bush praised the Dalai Lama by saying, “He is a shepherd of the faithful and a keeper of the flame for his people.” (3) It is interesting to note that Buddhists have been very active in the United States and have been cursing our waterways with their religion. One of many such incidents occurred in West Grand Traverse Bay in the state of Michigan. Buddhists made a large mandala of painted sand with numerous occult designs in it. It is a work of art to many people, but bands unused for the mandala are poured into a body of water during a religious ceremony in an attempt to disperse “healing energies.” (4) Here let it also be noted that Buddhism is a favorite religion with Wiccans. We have also learned that the U.S. Postal Service has approved the issuance of a new stamp featuring the Star Wars character Yoda. A special ceremony honoring the Yoda stamp was held on October 25th at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. (5) We must remember that the Star Wars movies were written entirely in witchcraft jargon and presented many of the tenets and doctrines of witchcraft, including reincarnation. Witchcraft in its various forms is being manifested continually. That fact explains many unusual things that have been going on. On October 23rd, 2007, a giant twenty-five foot statue of the Egyptian god of death was floated down the Thames River in London, England. The massive statue of Anubis, the jackal god, is to stand at various positions around Trafalgar Square. (6) Egyptian witchcraft teaches that Anubis escorted people to the underworld after they died, and it remains a symbol of death. When we consider all of the above things that are happening and many other such things, we are made to wonder why there isn’t a great voice of outrage from the Christians. It is a sad fact that most Christian pastors just don’t care anymore. Other “Christian” pastors are involved in witchcraft themselves. In Deerwood, Minnesota, during the summer of 2007, a gay Christian Camp was held to “help” young teens. The sponsors were Brad Froslee, a Presbyterian minister, and the Bethany Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The leaders stated that “gay” children are coming out earlier and earlier. (7) We also know that Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois, reportedly ordered their freshman class of 14-year-olds into a gay indoctrination seminar after having them sign a confidentiality agreement promising not to tell their parents. (8) America is being overcome by spirits of confusion and perversion. On November 8th, 2007, televangelist Pat Robertson endorsed Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States. (9) Giuliani is sometimes known as “Julie Annie”, because he cross-dresses at work and in other public places. He prefers tight skirts, makeup, and a bushy blond wig. This is the man who wants to be the President! Has anyone noticed the trend in this wicked nation? On October 23rd, 2007, the Portland Press Herald reported the shocking story of a new program at King Middle School. The school board committee for that Portland, Maine, school voted 7-2 in favor of offering a full range of contraception, including the “pill” and the “patch” to all students ages 11-15. Since state law already allows confidentiality regarding reproductive health, the parents of the children may never know what is going on with their child! (10) In Australia, government radio ABC 720 6WF has been presenting programs such as a female presenter who seriously suggested the legitimizing of swearing since it is so universal. Another program featured an interview with the director of a play where people will see about 30 ml of blood extracted from a person on stage and then added to a sausage mix, which is then cooked and eaten! (11) This is rank Satanism! How long will the Almighty Saviour put up with such things? One good thing is that the writers’ strike in Hollywood has shut down eight prime time shows. (12) We know that Satan is operating in high places, and when we consider the family tree of President George W. Bush, we find some amazing things. In a New York Post article, dated October 28th, 2007, an amazing expose’ was presented. We know that Satan tries to work through bloodlines and family trees when he can. With that in mind, records reveal that President George W. Bush is related to Dick Cheney, Hugh Hefner (Playboy Empire), Benedict Arnold, and Vlad the Impaler, who was the real life Count Dracula. (13) There is also strong circumstantial evidence that President George W. Bush’s mother, Barbara, is the illegitimate daughter of Aliester Crowley, the notorious and infamous Satanist. I am still researching this. With all of that in mind, is it any wonder our country is in the condition it is in? Divine Judgment With More to Come! On October 13th, 2007, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed SB 777 into law. This infamous bill opens the floodgates of perversion and filth into the public schools by promoting homosexual, transsexual, and bisexual indoctrination of school children. The law will go into effect on January 1st, 2008, and under that law, the following will be eliminated: 1. Textbooks and other instruction that portray marriage as only between a man and a woman. 2. Textbooks and other instruction that say people are born male or female (and not between). 3. Textbooks that leave out transsexual, bisexual, and homosexual historical figures. 4. Sex education and school assemblies that omit the option of hormone injections, or sex changes. 5. Homecoming king and queen contests that allow only boys to run for king and girls to run for queen. 6. Separate bathrooms for boys and girls. 7. The use of the terms “mom and dad” and “husband and wife.” (14) Ten days after the bill was signed, all hell broke loose in California. On October 23rd, 2007, fires began to break out in southern California. Soon there were twenty fires burning, and they produced an inferno that would stagger the imagination. Dry winds of over eighty miles per hour fed the flames and spread them everywhere. Rich and lavish homes burst into flames and sent movie stars running to evacuate the area. It was like a blowtorch hitting Malibu. (15) One of the twenty fires was called the witch fire, and the winds were called the devil winds. As many as 350,000 homes were evacuated, and more than one million people were forced to evacuate and escape the walls of roaring flames. Many hundreds of lavish homes were reduced to ashes. (16) Newspaper headlines from coast to coast and even overseas declared: End of the World, Armageddon, and Hell on Earth! (17) This fire was larger than many people imagined. Nothing could stop it until its work was done and its prey was reduced to smoldering ashes like Sodom and Gomorrah! Satellite pictures of the south in California revealed the magnitude of the disaster as the smoke rose up like a great furnace. The Almighty Saviour led me to Ezekiel 20:47-48 which reads as follows: “And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming fire shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein. And all flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.” The complacent and pleasure-minded people of the United States are being warned of severe judgment to come if they do not repent. Fifty percent of the contiguous United States is in a condition of severe drought. (18) Recent reports have indicated that thirty-six states now face water shortages. (19) In Georgia, lakes are drying up, and the large city of Atlanta now has less than a ninety-day water supply and no plan for solving the problem. Officials have specifically stated that there is no backup plan if the faucets run dry! (20) In the troubled city of New Orleans, it is quite a different story. In late October 2007, just before Halloween, heavy rains dropped over eight inches on that city in a matter of hours and flooded the streets with water over three feet high. (21) New Orleans has many other problems, not the least of which is the infestation of large swarms of killer bees that have taken up residence in and around the city. (22) Everywhere in the world, there is great trouble. There was severe flooding in parts of Mexico at the beginning of November 2007, which displaced nearly a million people. (23) In Bangladesh, an unusual cyclone hit a heavily populated Moslem area and almost instantly killed 15,000 people. (24) Meanwhile, significant earthquakes with magnitudes of four or greater continue to shake the world with an average of over 300 per month. We also know that more and more volcanoes are waking up and erupting. On November 18th, 2007, the United Nations’ panel of scientists issued their official report after an emergency meeting and came up with this conclusion: “Unless something is done about the radical climate changes right now, very soon the earth will lose one third of its plant and animal life.” (25) When I read the United Nations’ report, I immediately remembered Revelation 8:7, which reads as follows: “The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth; and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.” The remaining verses of Revelation chapter eight go on to mention the destruction of other portions of the creation, and the pattern remains the same; it is always one-third that is destroyed. This is the very number that the godless United Nations’ scientists came up with! Beast Governance! On November 11th, 2007, the principal deputy director of National Intelligence, Donald Kerr, told Congress that it is time for Americans to say goodbye to privacy. He also stated that it is time for the people of the United States to change their definition of privacy, and that it can no longer mean anonymity. (26) The “big brother” mentality of the emerging one-world government is openly showing itself as never before. Government cameras that interface with sophisticated computers can now photograph and assess a person so thoroughly that the computer can determine an individual’s exact height, weight, and gait DNA, which is a code for the way a person walks. Facial biometrics are also factored in to produce an individual digital code for every person. Thus, the surveillance system can easily pick out a person in a crowd and track that person. This system has been developed for the U.S. Government by Professor Rama Chellappa of the University of Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C. (27) Everything is moving so quickly now as governments and religions unite. On October 18th, 2007, the New European Treaty was approved at Lisbon, Portugal. It is scheduled to be signed on the 13th day of December 2007, and it is to take effect and be in force as of January 1st, 2009. The treaty for this United States of Europe calls for: 1. One President over all twenty-seven nations of the European Union to be elected every two and one-half years. 2. One minister for all external affairs. 3. One universal police and justice system. (28) As we watch the world uniting, we also are witnessing the combining of Mexico and Canada with the United States to form the North American Union. I have in front of me a garment label from a smock that is worn by personnel who work in nuclear refueling of aircraft carriers at Newport News, Virginia. The garment label shows a multi-colored continent of North America with the flags of the United States, Mexico, and Canada combined. (29) On November 13th, 2007, a gathering of leaders from the Eastern Orthodox churches met with Pope Benedict who declared the following: 1. The Pope is the first and highest over all Orthodox patriarchs. 2. Rome is the first “Bench” or headquarters. 3. The Church of Rome will prevail and govern with love. Further meetings are scheduled for November 23rd, 2007. (30) How closely are we being watched? In a previous newsletter, I reported that nuclear bombs had been moved across the United States by the United States Air Force in violation of the law. Now we have learned that the four military members that leaked the story to the public that the nuclear bombs were moved from Minot AFB to Barksdale AFB are all dead from mysterious and questionable causes. (31) The Almighty and the Dollar! It is no secret that the U.S. Dollar, which was once one of the hallmark currencies of the world, is in deep trouble. The “Bush wars” in Iraq and Afghanistan have now cost the United States 1.6 trillion dollars. (32) Meanwhile, there are continuously more and more homeless people on the streets of this erstwhile great nation. We have now learned that one out of every four homeless people is a veteran of our military, the majority of whom are women. (33) Who is going to fix the problems that we now face as a nation? Hillary Clinton seems to think she has all the answers, and I find it truly remarkable how God voices His disapproval of the various candidates. On November 12th, 2007, Hillary Clinton was making a speech at a news conference. When she finished speaking on that day after Veteran’s Day, four large American flags, all on separate stands, simultaneously fell down in front of her. Hillary commented that the bases for the flags must not have been heavy enough. (34) Are falling flags a sign of a falling country? Flags are not the only things that are falling. On November 7th, 2007, General Motors Corporation reported a third-quarter loss of a whopping thirty-nine billion dollars. (35) In addition to the trouble with U.S. corporate losses, the International Monetary Fund released a report on October 17th, stating that the U.S. dollar is overvalued. On the other hand, the currency of Red China was praised and was said to be undervalued. (36) Japan and Red China, among other nations, have been dropping the U.S. dollar like a hot potato. Japan dumped 23 billion dollars worth of U.S. Treasury bonds, Red China dumped 14.2 billion, and Taiwan unloaded 5 billion of the unwanted U.S. dollars. (37) On October 18th, the U.S. dollar dropped to a new low against the Euro currency of the thirteen-nation economic union of nations in Europe. (38) Warnings are out worldwide that the dollar is failing fast. Even the Canadian currency rose above the dollar and has stayed above it. Even after the Federal Reserve lowered the interest rate again, the dollar continued to slide and dive. (39) As I look around me as I drive through different cities and towns, I see all of the empty factories and commercial buildings: and I wonder how such a great nation could fall so low. I see the countless homes for sale because of foreclosure, and I am amazed at this. One report stated that one in every six homeowners now faces foreclosure. Over one trillion dollars of sub-prime debt is now listed as toxic by the banks that loaned the money. (40) Are we now in that time that was foretold in the Bible? In James 5:1-8 we read as follows: “Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” These are perilous times as we go through the final days before the return of our Saviour. As we can see from the above Scripture verses, economic distress is one of the sure signs that we are in the last days. We also know that in the year 2011, just over three years from now, seventy-seven million people, known as the baby boom generation, will be trying to collect social security and Medicare payments. At that point, the system will be bankrupt unless something drastic happens. In a Newsweek article dated April 18th, 2007, a satirical story mentioned that if twenty percent of the seventy-seven million baby boomers were dead by the year 2011, the system could remain solvent. (41) Sometimes there is an element of truth in satire, and sometimes satire reveals what truly goes on in corrupt minds. We must remember that those who are in high places are ruled by a dark master of shadowy light. Would anyone in high places be so corrupt as to want to reduce the population of the elderly and disabled? Hitler referred to them as “useless eaters.” We know that anyone over fifty years of age that goes to a medical doctor is going to be told that he or she needs to be taking numerous medications as a preventive program. Do the doctors understand everything about the drugs they are prescribing? How many doctors have personally done research on the drugs? Why are cancer, diabetes, and other diseases so common? Why are we importing food from Red China? Why are we being over salted, over sugared, and dosed with dangerous preservatives? Does some entity stand to gain from all of this? If we have massive hospitals, which are full of expensive equipment and serviced with a high-paid staff, do we not need to populate those hospitals and clinics? Why are new and strange viruses popping up? The answer to all of these questions is frighteningly obvious. The goal of the elitist Illuminists is to manage the population of the world any way they can while disguising their mass murdering as benevolent care. It is time for us to look to the Lord for help and to the many things He has provided for natural healing! The Rapid Rising of Strange Powers! Another great sign that we are in the last days is the rising of the kings of the East. Once the kings of the East or Orient rise up, we see a triumviral power, which is a power of three unclean spirits, rise up to lead the world to Armageddon, the last great battle according to Revelation 16:12-16. We know that the kings of the East have been rising up in a continuous crescendo of power. Both Russia and China are kings of the East, for they are situated east of the Euphrates River, which has always been the natural and spiritual boundary between east and west. On November 5th, 2007, Bloomberg News Service featured a story that revealed the rise of the PetroChina Company to over one trillion dollars. This Chinese petroleum company surpassed Exxon Mobil and General Electric combined. (42) On November 6th, 2007, another strange and unprecedented thing happened. Pope Benedict XVI met with the Islamic King of Saudi Arabia at the Vatican. King Abdullah presented the Pope with a golden sword studded with jewels. (43) It was the meeting of the two largest religions in the world. The Pope and the King spoke privately for about one-half hour, and no one knows what they talked about. A sword is a symbol of war, and Revelation 6:4 mentions a great sword in the last days as follows: “And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.” On November 17th, shortly after the meeting with the Pope, OPEC held a special summit meeting regarding what to do about the falling American dollar. It was determined that if OPEC would reject the dollar, the economy of the United States would collapse. (44) Will they do it, forcing the United States to submit to a new “Holy Roman Empire?” At this point, I must remind everyone that the Pope is German, and amazing possibilities open up when we realize that German Chancellor Angela Merkel is likely the biological daughter of Adolph Hitler by artificial insemination, as revealed in a previous newsletter. On August 30th, 2007, Angela Merkel was named “the most powerful woman in the world” by Forbes Magazine. Continuing in the Word of His Grace
And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith . . . And now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace. (Act_14:21-22; Act_20:32)
The Lord desires for us to continue in a growing relationship with Him, continuing to draw more and more upon His grace: "continue with the Lord . . . continue in the grace of God" (Act_11:23; Act_13:43). One vital aspect of this process is to be continuing in the word of His grace.
As Paul and his missionary team passed through Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch (in Pisidia), they urged the disciples there to "continue in the faith." "The faith" is often used in the scriptures to refer to the revealed truth of God (in which we are to place our faith). Jude wrote in this manner. "I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints" (Jud_1:3). Thus, the word of God is "the faith." Consequently,
the call to "continue in the faith" was an exhortation to live by abiding in the word of God.
Later, when Paul was visiting the church leaders from Ephesus for the last time, he entrusted them unto the care of the Lord and His word. In doing this, he referred to the scriptures as "the word of His grace." Grace characterizes the word of God. Grace permeates the word of God. Grace flows from the word of God. It is in the scriptures that we learn of God's grace. There we learn of what it is (the Lord's undeserved riches, poured out freely for our justification, sanctification, and glorification). There we learn of our great need for grace (a desperate, comprehensive, continual need). Also, in the word we learn of how we can access it (through humble dependence upon the Lord).
If we are going to continue in grace as the Lord desires, we must continue in the word of His grace. We will want to read it prayerfully day by day. We will want to study it regularly for increased understanding. We will want to meditate upon it often for growing implications and applications. Above all, we will want to be in the word consistently that we might get to know the Christ of the word. In knowing Him more, His mighty grace will properly impact our lives. i_amgodschild <">< style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for the word of Your grace. Please forgive me for any times when I did not grant Your word the place that it deserves. I want to continue in it day by day. Morning Verse

"Thou art all fair, my love." Song 4:7

The Lord's admiration of His Church is very a wonderful, and His description of her beauty is very glowing. She is not merely fair, but "all fair." He views her in Himself, washed in His sin-atoning blood and clothed in His meritorious righteousness, and He considers her to be full of comeliness and beauty. No wonder that such is the case, since it is but His own perfect excellency that He admires; for the holiness, glory, and perfection of His Church are His own glorious garments on the back of His own well-beloved spouse. She is not simply pure, or well-proportioned; she is positively lovely and fair! She has actual merit! Her deformities of sin are removed; but more, she has through her Lord obtained a meritorious righteousness by which an actual beauty is conferred upon her. Believers have a positive righteousness given to them when they become "accepted in the beloved" (Eph. 1:6). Nor is the Church barely lovely, she is superlatively so. Her Lord styles her "Thou fairest among women." She has a real worth and excellence which cannot be rivalled by all the nobility and royalty of the world. If Jesus could exchange His elect bride for all the queens and empresses of earth, or even for the angels in heaven, He would not, for He puts her first and foremost--"fairest among women." Like the moon she far outshines the stars. Nor is this an opinion which He is ashamed of, for He invites all men to hear it. He sets a "behold" before it, a special note of exclamation, inviting and arresting attention. "Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair" (Song of Sol. 4:1). His opinion He publishes abroad even now, and one day from the throne of His glory He will avow the truth of it before the assembled universe. "Come, ye blessed of my Father" (Matt. 25:34), will be His solemn affirmation of the loveliness of His elect.

Evening Verse

"Behold, all is vanity." Ecclesiastes 1:14

Nothing can satisfy the entire man but the Lord's love and the Lord's own self. Saints have tried to anchor in other roadsteads, but they have been driven out of such fatal refuges. Solomon, the wisest of men, was permitted to make experiments for us all, and to do for us what we must not dare to do for ourselves. Here is his testimony in his own words: "So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me. And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour. Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun." "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity." What! the whole of it vanity? O favoured monarch, is there nothing in all thy wealth? Nothing in that wide dominion reaching from the river even to the sea? Nothing in Palmyra's glorious palaces? Nothing in the house of the forest of Lebanon? In all thy music and dancing, and wine and luxury, is there nothing? "Nothing," he says, "but weariness of spirit." This was his verdict when he had trodden the whole round of pleasure. To embrace our Lord Jesus, to dwell in His love, and be fully assured of union with Him--this is all in all. Dear reader, you need not try other forms of life in order to see whether they are better than the Christian's: if you roam the world around, you will see no sights like a sight of the Saviour's face; if you could have all the comforts of life, if you lost your Saviour, you would be wretched; but if you win Christ, then should you rot in a dungeon, you would find it a paradise; should you live in obscurity, or die with famine, you will yet be satisfied with favour and full of the goodness of the Lord.

And the angel departed from her. 39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed [art] thou among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb. 43 And whence [is] this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 And blessed [is] she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. {that...: or, which believed that there} 46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy [is] his name. 50 And his mercy [is] on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from [their] seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. 54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of [his] mercy; 55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. 56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. 59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. 60 And his mother answered and said, Not [so]; but he shall be called John. 61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. 62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called. 63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all. 64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue [loosed], and he spake, and praised God. 65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea. {sayings: or, things} 66 And all they that heard [them] laid [them] up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him. 67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, 68 Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72 To perform the mercy [promised] to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, {by: or, for} 78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, {tender...: or, bowels of the mercy} {dayspring: or, sunrising, or, Branch} 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and [in] the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel. 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. {taxed: or, enrolled} 2 ([And] this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. {taxed: or, inrolled} 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. {taxed: or, inrolled} 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. {watch: or, the night watches} 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this [shall be] a sign unto you; 41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not [of it]. 44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among [their] kinsfolk and acquaintance. 45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. 46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. 48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? 50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. {stature: or, age}
